A woman is born and develops in a world dominated by men. Her story will be influenced by this discovery and soon she will have to decide what attitude she will have about it.All those women who want to begin a path of knowledge, will eventually face a crossroads: either avoid the fight and be subjected to the dominant model or accept to fight against this denial. What is certain is that a woman can feel accomplished only when she refuses to trade her own social role in exchange for the perpetuation of a model. Many women are aware, but they don't have the strength and the self-esteem necessary to accept the consequences and the related risks.
The “Jasmine Network”, promoted by Mediter and constituted in Palermo in November 2019, was established exactly to support a transfer of strategic competences, namely of trust, of hope, to strengthen the self-esteem of the young women of the Mediterranean. For this reason 20 influential women leaders, representing 12 Countries, accepted to send to all the young women of the Mediterranean a sign of trust, of cohesiveness.
